Polar Bears Size

The polar bears size and physical characteristics can be pretty intimidating, but ohhh so majestic.
They survive throughout the circumpolar Arctic and are the largest land carnivore.
Here are some polar bear size facts:


Male Polar Bears Size (Boars):
Length - about 2.5 to 3 m (8.2-9.8 ft.) long (Stirling, 1988)
Weight - from 350 to over 650 kg (772-1,433 lb.) - twice or more the size of the female

Female Polar Bears Size (Sows):
Length – they are about 2 to 2.5 m (6.6-8.2 ft.)
Weight - grows as large as 500 kg (1,102 lb.) You can estimate up to twice of that if she’s pregnant.(Stirling, 1988)

The largest polar bear size ever recorded was a male: 1,002 kg (2,209 lb.) and measuring 3.7 m (12 ft.) long (Domico, 1988).
