Polar Bears Skin

Polar bears were blessed by Mother Nature because polar bears skin is in fact black. This allows for greater absorption of heat from the sun via dense guard hairs

which are part of their coat:

Polar Bears have two types of fur making up their coat:
1) Polar bears have a “thick woolly fur” nearest to the skin that keeps them warm and insulated.
2) The other type is like a clear drinking straw. These hairs are longer than the thick woolly fur and help keep the polar bears warm by “sending” or reflecting the sun rays down to the skin.

Since the skin is black and absorbs more heat than white skin, it’s a huge benefit for survival in what humans consider to be a harsh environment.
