WIND TURBINES PRICES ON THE RISE

Large visions, larger prices. I’ve just reviewed an article about wind turbines prices on the rise to the tune of 60%. Not so much regarding the small home wind turbines - rather wind farms and communities that want to implement the green strategies to reduce global warming gases and remove themselves off the grid.
Go figure, literally. Involving oneself in the wind turbines industry seems to be quite a complex issue. Noted by Jan Paulin, CEO of Padoma Wind Power…
“These escalating wind power prices are reflective of capital costs going through the roof, whether it is turbine costs, transportation costs or balance of plant costs, and it is making it increasingly difficult to make the economics work on wind projects.”
One would suspect with higher demand there’d be lower costs. The only thing coming down regarding the manufacturing of wind turbines is the financing which helps to balance out the affects. Time will only tell.
