SOLAR LIGHTING ON CITY SKYSCRAPERS
June 1st, 2007 by admin
I’d just read an article in the Toronto Star (being an ex Torontonian) about putting solar lighting on the CN Tower.
What a superb idea, and why stop there? How about putting solar lighting on city skyscrapers everywhere?
Notably the CN Tower is the largest free…
standing structure of its kind to date. Using solar lighting would send a message, one would think, to all about the smart usage of solar lighting.
So hey, why not keep going? I think the Statute of Liberty could be liberized and seen as a sense of freedom from our old ways of thinking regarding our respect towards the environment - as she proudly displays a solar light in her crowning glory. It’s the US citizen in me.
Peace.
