Live Earth Concert

The Live Earth Concert - It’s BIG, It’s BOLD, and It’s BEAUTIFUL. Al Gore and Kevin Wall on Feb 15/07 launched the world’s biggest concert (and party) of all time: the Live Earth Concert 07,07,07. They estimate 2 billion people will watch. 100+ headline artists/bands will play simulaneously for 24 hours across the globe. Through the internet, film, television, and radio - all will be surrounded in sound and video and it’ll all be dedicated to global warming and our earths environmental crisis.
MSN has a new site dedicated to the Live Earth Conert (http://liveearth.msn.com/) - a 40 minute info. broadcast, and will be upadated as new news is launched.
Live Earth Concert event proceeds will create a new foundation led by the Alliance for Climate Protection, headed by Al Gore. The Alliance for Climate Protection will launch a multi-year global effort to combat global warming and our climate crisis.

Live Earth and its cause at Live Earth.
Two “firsts” on global warming that I thought were really cool (other than the Live Earth Concert itself) in this broadcast were: This concert will originate the first live musical in Antarctica - 24 hours of concerts….and Prime Minister Helen Clark has instated a zero carbon net. I say a “first” for New Zealand because in my opinion California “reneged” on their zero emmission policy.
Lastly, Al Gore noted he will not run for presidency again - he is far too passionate about global warming and this Live Earth Concert is just one more of much more to come.
Peace.
