Jobs In Wind Energy

Jobs in wind energy are on the rise. Why do I say such? According to the Global World Energy Council, since 1995, global wind energy has tripled every 3 years! The last 5 year annual increases were 30%. Pretty astounding.

As of 2005 the jobs in wind energy were standing at 235,000 people. Worldwide it was worth…

$25 billion a year in business.

There is debate about the effects of wind energy and one that stood out for me was the danger for birds.
Now don’t get me wrong, every living thing on this planet is important to me - however, the danger and effects of nuclear energy (cough cough) should something drastic go askew, would kill everyone/thing in/on site for miles and miles with decades worth of non livable territory. Did I hear right, that the Pickering Nuclear Power Plant in Ontario was built on a fault line? Fault Line - that’s not a pun by me, who’s fault was it that made that decision? A pretty pathetic situation should this news turn out to be true.

Wind energy - clean, noiseless, renewable for our lifetime as humans and virtually harmless in every degree.

So, who’s looking for jobs in wind energy - here’s a good start: http://www.canwea.ca/images/uploads/File/NRCan_-_Fact_Sheets/9_industry.pdf The 5 major companies in wind energy.

Peace.
