HUMAN IMPACT ON ECOSYSTEMS
May 7th, 2007 by admin
As I read along about the human impact on ecosystems, I’m not really sure where or what to start with.
Human impact on ecosystems is at such a fast pace affecting everything from land, air and sea.
The past 50 years of human development, socially and economically, have tilted many of the delicate balances on this planet. Very few considerations took heed from Mother Nature as a guide to build and growth with…
Why do I see garbage at the roadside? Who’s “house” is this anyways? What do you take with you when you die? How symbolic that we should become a part of that earth when “all is said and done”. It reminds me of an old mothers saying “You made your bed, now you sleep in it”.
Ecosystems are seeing dramatic disintegrations and obliterations as never seen before at this incredible speed. There are so many changes happening so fast, I’m not sure even the scientists can keep up with it all.
Are we getting the “slap” before the “spank” from Mother Natures hand right now - being hit with unrelentless hurricanes, tornadoes and odd weather patterns?
I guess I’ll try to get some interesting facts instead of my rambles on the human impact on ecosystems. I had to start somewhere though.
Peace.
