Just for the record, what I envision after the hybrid, the hybrid electric, the all electric vehicles, will be a solution not for just our air, but our land and government spending.
We need mini, one person, one person and a dog, two person, two person and a baby etc. hovercraft’s that float about 1 ft. off the ground so that grass can grow as high as it wants. They need to have soft material around them should they bump into anyone or anything. Not that they will of course because they will have sensors to prevent such an occurrence.

Governments will no longer have to worry about…

repairing or even building roads for that matter. All they’ll need is docking ports and or garages Our ecosystems won’t be poisoned by the spraying of all that fresh oil before the tar and paper is laid. These mini hovercraft’s could have you tell them just where you need to get to and off it goes, powered only by the sun =)

Ah well, we’ll get there some time, just probably not in my time.
